Kindred Feather

Category:

I wrote Kindred Feather in 1993. It was my ode to Stephen King’s IT, and I aimed to capture some of that atmosphere from my favorite horror novel of all time. I don’t recall ever submitting it for publication back then. When I started writing again in 2023, I was reading a lot about self-publishing, so I decided to go that route with Kindred Feather, publishing it on Amazon KDP.

The story revolves around Freddie Reiser, a child psychologist for troubled youths, and his inability to recall large portions of his own childhood. At the urging of his psychiatrist, Freddie returns to his hometown of Harmony, Texas, where he lived until he was fifteen years old. There, his memory slowly returns, and he discovers he, and many other troubled children, were pawns of an ancient evil bent on sending its offspring into the world to cause death and destruction.
